Word : The Last Supper was a powerful time of connecting with Israel's past, and pointing to a glorious future. In a few short sentences, Luke reminds us of several key teachings of Jesus. Since this meal was very important, so are the words of the Master.

1.Can anyone in your Life Group remember an interesting, different or special Communion Service that you have ever experienced?

2.Jesus make several amazing declarations during this Passover Meal. Explore these teachingd and apply them to your own life and ministry.
A.After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people – an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you. Luke 22:20 (NLT) What does it mean to you that Jesus Christ poured out His blood to make you a child of God? How loved do you feel?

B.But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant. Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves. Luke 22:26-27 (NLT) What does it mean to serve God,your family and the church? How are you doing this?

C.The disciples began to ask each other which of them would ever do such a thing. Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them. Luke 22:23-24(NLT) Why do Christians get into arguments about their religious positions of authority? How do we get past the arguments and truly serve one another?

3.What is Communion [The Lord's Supper] like for you? Has God been meeting you in a special way lately? Do you pray a special prayers? Do you have a special traditions for your times of communion?

Close with prayer for the needs that have been shared. Remember to thank God for the gifts of His Son!

Personal Reflection:Spend some time this week reflecting on 1 Corinthians 11:7-34
